There Is No Going Back is a short, 12-part essay on the ideological meme or cultural archetype of "going back" -- this idea that we as a species could halt the momentum of history, and hit reverse until we find a time we all agree is better than now.  It's no secret our situation is a messy one, a bit tragic, perhaps even apocalyptic.  This little chap tries to find grounding not on either side but perhaps in floating over them both. 

First written back in 2016 as a response to J.P. Kruse's wonderful little book, these poetic ramblings are one of a number of writings collected under the title Poetic Responses To The Blue Spark.  This is part V.  Some of these rants and ramblings were first published by Swamp Lantern Press, publishers of The Blue Spark.
